The Sacrescent Standard
A six-point authentication process
Receipt to expert panel. Six checks. Every bottle. No exceptions.
Consigning a bottle?
See how the process worksThe standard
Every bottle passes the same six checks, regardless of price or provenance. The order never changes.
01
Each bottle is logged, photographed, and assigned a tracking ID the moment it arrives. The condition record starts here.
02
Production codes are cross-referenced against manufacturer records — date, distribution, and code structure are all confirmed.
03
Printing quality, font, material, cellophane, and security features inspected under magnification. Counterfeits show themselves here.
04
Calibrated measurement of the fill. Crimp, seal integrity, and tamper indicators documented to the millimetre.
05
Compared against a reference library of authentic profiles. High-value bottles receive chromatographic analysis.
06
At least two certified authenticators must agree. Bottles over $500 require a third reviewer. Consensus, or it doesn't list.
We'd rather return a bottle than list one we can't stand behind. If anything in the six checks raises a question, the bottle goes back.
Questions about a specific verification? Reach the authentication desk — we answer the same business day.
